The Martorana fruit is a delicacy from Palermo, today famous worldwide for its bright colors, for its typical and unmistakable flavor that tastes of history and Sicily.
This sicilian sweet, in fact, although it is based product with almond paste, the traditional marzipan, has a history that goes back several centuries ago when the nuns of the medieval church of the Martorana, exactly in Palermo, on the occasion of annuncied Pope's visit to the monastery, in an original way to decorate the church, decided to hang these fruit to the trees, products with almond paste and very colorful.
Of course, their idea was very well appreciated and more than to identify the product, has also identified the typicality of Sicily and especially Palermo.
The color of the Martorana fruits are obtained with vegetable ingredients absolutely healthy.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The
fruits of Martorana are handcrafted products created by hand and for
this reason, it is not always possible to match the number of fruitings
indicated to the proposed weight. However, being a product sold mainly by weight, the weight purchased, possibly increased, will always be respected. In no case will be sent a package with a weight lower than the one chosen!
In compliance with
Articles 9 and 14, first paragraph, letter a) of the EU Regulation nr.
1169/2011 of 25 October 2011, will indicate the information relating to
the product as per the label affixed on the packaging, from the
manufacturer.
Ingredients: Almonds 90 % , sugar , glucose , water , flavorings , dyes E112 , E115 . It may contain traces of peanuts and nuts, and potential allergens derived.
