The red onion pate, produced and processed in the Sicilian Nebrodi mountains, is a very tasty salty cream resulting from the transformation of red onions grown in the Nebrodi area of Messina, and of which it contains all the healthy properties. Composed of a mix of onions, tomatoes, chillies and aromas, it differs from the usual sweet jam and is appreciated for appetizers, on meats, to flavor sauces of various kinds, or even on a simple crouton of bread with two drops of extra virgin olive oil of olive.

Onion patè is one of the traditional Sicilian recipes, although not very well known, which in ancient times was used to transform the abundant onions collected and preserve them during the lean seasons. Flavored with vinegar, salt, chilli pepper and cherry tomatoes it becomes a delicacy to be consumed in complete safety, thanks to the origin of the raw materials, mainly red onion, grown in company-owned land without the use of particular chemical products. The Nebrodi Mountains area is renowned for being the mother of D.O.P.products. such as provola and black pig, and protected area.
